In today’s world, finding a someone who understands you can be a daunting task—especially a person who not only affirms and accepts who you are, but advocates and truly cares for you and the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning) community you are a part of. 


Maybe you landed here because you've had therapy before, but felt like you and your therapist were on two different pages—or worse, you felt judged or looked down on. On the other hand, maybe you've never been to therapy before and are nervous you won't be able to find someone you can open up to, someone who understands you, and someone you can trust. 

What's at stake for people in the LGBTQ+ community:

The data is pretty clear: people in the LGBTQ+ community are at greater risk for experiencing violence, suicide, depression, self-harm and anxiety.  While it's true we have made strides as a society, we still have a long, long way to go. 


Discrimination, oppression and social stigma continue to run rampant in many communities, making it hard to live authentically. 


As a result, people in the LGBTQ+ community often express feeling isolated and alone—feelings that are further amplified when a person feels like there is no room to be themselves, even with the people who are supposed to be closest to them.
