What this Group is…
A women’s process group is a form of therapist-led psychotherapy focused on emotional awareness, relationships, and patterns that emerge in real time.
Rather than teaching skills or offering advice, this group emphasizes curiosity, reflection, and connection. Members are invited to explore how they think, feel, and relate — both within the group and in their lives outside of therapy.
Sessions are co-facilitated by two licensed therapists, creating a safe, contained, and thoughtfully paced environment.

Group Facilitators
HANNAH BROOKS, MA, LMFT
In addition to her role as a private practice therapist, Hannah serves as the lead clinician for a non-profit shelter serving marginalized populations in the community. Prior to joining Whole Wellness Therapy, Hannah played a vital role in launching a mental health program that still stands today, which allows individuals experiencing homelessness to receive therapy at no cost to them. During her time helping to pilot this program, Hannah worked with adults recovering from unimaginable traumas, survivors of sexual-abuse & domestic violence, substance use issues, and a wide range of mental health disorders in both individual and group therapy settings.
KELLY LAVAN, ACSW
Kelly provides in-person therapy (San Diego only) and online therapy for individuals and couples. She utilizes an integrative approach, incorporating techniques from several different evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Harm Reduction. Kelly is LGBTQIA+-affirming and trauma-informed, and she has ample experience supporting individuals through a diverse range of circumstances, including homelessness, criminal justice involvement, chronic disability, and major life transitions.
