Isaac Smith, MAT, LCSW, NTP
So it goes with the human condition—messy, chaotic, beautiful in its imperfection. As such, we often find ourselves thrust into circumstances that knock the wind right out of our sails, confronting us with tasks that seem, at first glance, about as manageable as nailing jello to a tree. Reaching out when you're feeling as vulnerable as a turtle without its shell—that's not just hard, that's heroic.
My path to becoming a therapist wasn't something I planned—this passion discovered me. During my graduate internships, I encountered something profound while sitting with people in their moments of pain. Each session revealed the rich complexity of human experience, where suffering, resilience, and growth wove together in remarkable ways. Years later, this work continues to teach me about life and what it means to be human.
This is why I embrace an integrative, strengths-based approach, combining the wisdom of years of clinical experience with the understanding that each person's journey is uniquely their own. I'm not here to drive your bus—I'm here to help you read the map, check the weather, and figure out which route feels right for your particular adventure through this bizarre and wonderful existence we call life.
Experience
I have been fortunate enough to work with people from all walks of life—from supporting those wrestling with addiction to sitting with those facing life's final moments. These profound experiences have shaped not only who I am as a person but also how I guide others—helping people confront and overcome addiction, wrestle with depression and anxiety, and build healthier, more meaningful relationships.
When all is said and done though, I see my mission as beautifully simple: to help you find your own authentic melody in this wonderfully chaotic symphony we call life—to help you become more you.
Let's talk if you're seeking a fellow traveler on life's wild ride—someone who keeps it real, meets you exactly where you're at (even if that's upside down), and who understands that true healing encompasses the mind, body, and spirit.
