Isaac Smith, MAT, LCSW, NTP

Let's be real…life can be incredibly messy. At times, we are forced to face things that not only take our breath away but ask us to deal with and confront what often feels impossible. Reaching out when you are feeling vulnerable and confused is a hard thing to do, and from my perspective, it takes a whole lot of guts and courage.

In truth, I didn't start out wanting to be a therapist—this passion found me. My first two internships in grad school were in counseling roles. It was in those spaces that something within me started to develop. Sitting across from people working through their pain, watching them fall, get back up again, and grow... taught me so much about life and what it means to be human—and it still does.

This is why I am passionate about an integrative, strengths-based approach to counseling. I focus on building strong relationships with the people I have the opportunity of serving and view my role as a traveling partner—someone to walk alongside of you and help you figure out which path is right for you.

Experience

I have been fortunate enough to work with numerous people in widely diverse settings—from providing counseling to those struggling with addiction, to working with the dying and their loved ones. My experience has not only shaped who I am as a person, but has informed how I work with others, allowing me to help people face and conquer struggles with addiction, overcome monsters like depression and anxiety, and learn ways to have healthy, more meaningful relationships.

At the end of the day, however, my true aim is to support you in finding a life that is imbued with purpose and meaning—to help you get reconnected to you.

Let’s talk if you are interested in speaking with someone who is down to earth, works hard to meet you where you're at while encouraging you forward, and focuses on the interplay between mind, body, and spirit to help you achieve real, holistic health.
