Online Therapist in Sacramento, CA

It is challenging to need to be “put together” on the outside but on the inside feel we are barely hanging on. You hear messages that tell you to be strong but vulnerable, successful but humble, and independent but dependent - it is easy to get lost in these messages and disconnected from your true self. Peace may seem far away, but it is possible to reconnect, and for those of us who have never known safe, authentic connection, it is possible to connect for the very first time.

Our greatest tool on this journey can be a therapeutic space to process our experiences, gain greater understanding of ourselves, and work collectively with a professional-someone that will walk alongside us as we heal and grow.

Through therapy, I have known this kind of healing in my own life. This is what lead me to becoming a therapist and having a desire to hold space for you to discover a greater sense of wholeness within yourself and your relationships. I am passionate about this work, because I know it is painful to feel depressed, anxious, and disconnected, and I know it is possible - and extremely rewarding - to discover peace and fulfillment.

Depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems can interfere with your quality of life. You may feel as though there is no hope, you cannot stop worrying, you regularly experience confusing thoughts and emotions, or you have trouble feeling close to your partner. Our vitality is supported by our capacity to formulate solutions, soothe our worries, know ourselves on a deep level, and relate to others—I have had the pleasure of witnessing people learn or rediscover these traits through the therapeutic process.

I have worked with people experiencing mood disorders, relationship problems, and severe mental illness in inpatient and outpatient settings, and I have been a yoga and meditation teacher for 8 years. A trusting relationship between the client and therapist has been the most important element that has supported the healing process for my clients, so when we start our work together there will be time for you to get to know my approach and for me to get to know what brought you to therapy, and then we will discover together what will be most helpful.

My clinical approach is trauma-informed, and I utilize attachment, mindfulness, cognitive, and solution-based interventions to walk alongside you as you discover greater self-awareness and personal and relational efficacy.

Brené Brown, a leader in mental health, says, “Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” With a little hope and a lot of courage, you too will be on a path to wellness.
